When it comes to cars, the consuming public is one that holds its brands to a high level of expectation. And when we find a brand that we like – one that gives us the quality and dependability that we desire – we will remain loyal to that brand until the end. In most cases, this level of loyalty is extended to luxury vehicles – those cars that command a high price but continually deliver in quality and comfort year after year – and sometimes decade after decade. It’s no wonder then that the BMW M3 – as a part of the BMW brand – continues to inspire and engage customers.
The Bavarian Motor Works company (BMW) came to life in 1913 Munich, Germany at the hands of Karl Friedrich Rapp who was committed to producing a high-end luxury vehicle that would appeal to those interested in the finer things in life. Initially, he was most interested in performance – creating those vehicles that would be unsurpassed in the marketplace and hold up to the changes that would certainly be demanded from the industry. And hold up they did; today’s BMW brand continues to be the pinnacle of the industry – the BMW M3 included.
There are many variations of the BMW M3, and the features you get – and the price you spend – depend solely on the particular model that you choose. The M3 series is a sporty version of the compact BMW design and the models within the product line vary according the generation.
The E30 is the first version of the BMW M3 series featuring a 2.3 liter power train, S14 engine, and 238 horsepower. Standard to this design were flared fenders and a sleek aerodynamic design. The E36 coupe came six years after the E30 and featured a 3.0 liter power train, S6 engine and 286 horsepower. The power train increased to 321 horsepower just four short years later and featured a 3.2 liter power train. This particular model is still highly regarded as one of the best models produced by BMW.
The current model of the BMW M3 – the E46 – delivered an incredible 343 horsepower, new 6-speed transmission, and manual gearbox that required no clutch pedal. And the BMW M3 continues to expand its product line with the soon-to-come E92 expected to debut at the end of 2007. The E92 features a V8 engine and 420 horsepower, and will once again elevate BMW to the next level.
The BMW M3 reflects the overall commitment of the BMW company to top quality, customer service, and a dedication to remaining on the cutting edge of the vehicle industry.
BMW M6 convertible

Some people complain about the shifting woes of the SMG gearbox. Other complaints are how poor the BMW M6 is off the line. Maybe so, but lets see any other car fly through sharp turns at 80+ mph. The devil is in the details. The handling of the BMW M6 is tremendous to say the least. In tight traffic the car can weave in an out like it sewing a quilt. It does that without the M button engaged. To tell the truth, the M button isn’t even necessary in M6. 500 hp is Lambo and Ferrari speed. Although I must note as well it does surprise a Lamborghini or Ferrari driver that a BMW can keep pace with their car. But that is the reason that the M6 is so highly respected. Go test drive an M6 or rent one. Take it out to Pacific Coast Highway as it stretches through Laguna Beach, CA. Watch how other people in top end super cars respect you as well. It is a bargain super car to say the least.
One of the great things about the M6 are it’s styling. Gone are the square mirrors that are present on a typical 6 series BMW. The M6 has curvaceous, ovular mirrors which, besides looking better are more aerodynamic. The M6 has a full body kit and a magnificent quad exhaust. Plus the M6 badge is emblazoned on the front fenders of the vehicle. The front air scoops devour air to keep the engine as well as the brakes from over heating.

he BMW M6 Convertible is a monster in disguise. If you are looking for luxury, speed, and open air motoring, then this car is for you. Generally speaking luxury coupes and convertibles put looks and performance first. They stand for being flashy and fast. Beyond that, more importantly, luxury coupes also are an extension of their driver’s ability. A lot of people felt that the 6 series BMW was more computer oriented than driver oriented. With that said, BMW came up with a solution. The M6 is that solution.
The M6 is one part symphony and one part adrenaline rush. With one push of a button along the M6 console, the folding roof stores neatly in the trunk. By pressing the fabled M button, turning the traction control off, raising the shift meter to level 6 and holding the left paddle shifter for 10 seconds you can engage the BMW’s M6 launch code. Yes this vehicle has a launch code as if it were a space shuttle. You will think you are an astronaut after you punch the pedal to the floor. The tires will begin to smoke as they beg the pavement for grip. Once those tires catch the pavement the car will rip forward violently. Any driver will have to hold on and maintain firm control of the car because all 500 horses are being thrown at the rear wheel. Almost as soon as the car takes off a driver will have to shift to second gear and within a few ticks third gear. Launch code sometimes causes the car to veer coming off the line, so a driver has to be ready to settle the car back down under control.

New 8-series would compete closely with the new Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera.

The 2010 BMW X6 is a bit of an oddball, its coupelike profile belying its SUV-like dimensions. The overall shape is aerodynamic and flowing above the shoulder line, but below, its bulk throws it off-balance. Reviewers tend to love or loathe the 2010 X6′s styling, whether it’s the plain-vanilla version or the more aggressively styled X6 M. Interior design and styling are modern and attractive, though some may find the X6 M’s addition of carbon fiber-look panels a bit much.
